Berrynarbor is a proud Church School, grounded in the vision of our Federation. We nurture children within the ‘stream’, building their confidence, resilience, and compassion so they are ready to journey into the ‘ocean’ and make a positive difference in the wider world. We encourage every child to strive to be the very best they can be.

Our whole‑school curriculum—including our rich wider curriculum—has been thoughtfully designed to bring this vision to life. Alongside this, we have created a dedicated Life Curriculum to support pupils’ emotional and social well‑being. Our Religious Education programme enables children to develop a strong understanding of Christian distinctiveness, while also fostering respect and appreciation for other world faiths.

Daily acts of collective worship are an important part of school life and may be led by staff, children, or visiting guests. (For further details, please see our Worship Policy below.) We maintain close links with the Diocese of Exeter and with St Peter’s Church in the village, and our children take part in community events throughout the year.

Our reward systems are designed to uphold and reinforce our vision and values. Our weekly Values Certificates help children recognise the impact of making positive choices.
