Mrs Fowler leads our curriculum and bases her planning on Access Art Scheme of work.

The AccessArt Primary Art Curriculum is highly adaptable, making it particularly effective in our small schools with mixed-age classes. it is built around key areas of exploration—such as drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and making - introducing core skills that are then revisited and deepened over time.  The emphasis on sketchbook use supports ongoing skill development, creativity, and reflective thinking, while exposure to diverse artists and disciplines broadens pupils’ understanding of artistic processes and encourages individual expression. This approach helps pupils build confidence, develop fine‑motor and observational skills, and engage in creative risk‑taking within a supportive environment—key outcomes that align well with the needs and strengths of our small-schools.
